CARING HEARTS SPONSORSHIP
Thank you for considering the opportunity to be a sponsor. In this brochure we hope to share with you all you need to know about a sponsorship. Sponsorship is a way you can make a spiritual contact with a child in need while at the same time help provide for their day to day needs. We know you will find it to be a rewarding experience. Please carefully and prayerfully read all of the material before making your final decision, and then fill in our online form if you are in agreement with the program and want to sponsor a child.
HOW MUCH IS THE SPONSORSHIP?
The sponsorship is $30 a month. You will be partnering with up to 10 other people to help provide for your sponsored child.

WHY A PARTNER SPONSORSHIP?
Why are we running a partner sponsorship, with multiple sponsors for each child? We want you to understand that we are not just doing a program for these boys and girls, we are providing needed 24/7 care for them. We have taken the actual budget needed to run our orphanage and boys home and divided it up by the average number of children in Caring Hearts to come up with this program. We want you to know where the money goes:

OUR STAFF
The most important thing these children need is love and attention. For that we need a dedicated staff that is willing to sacrifice their time and energy to care for these boys and girls. This includes:

BERTHA BOBADILLA – Affectionately known as Mama Bertha, she is the director of the orphanage.  She combines discipline with tender loving care to provide a safe, comfortable home for the children to grow.  She is in charge of providing the needed food and supplies for the children, and making sure their legal situations are in order.

PEDRO AND FRAN ALVARADO are the directors of the Oasis Boys Home.
They bring love and spiritual strength into play to form a family where the boys can feel safe, secure and motivated to grow into mature Christian men. They work together to provide the spiritual and physical needs of the boys. They work 24/7 being pastors, teachers, chauffeurs, cooks, handymen, but most important of all, they are like a mother and father for these boys.

JUANA BLOSE, or Maestra Juana to the kids, she dedicates six hours a day to teaching the children and helping them with their school work. She has been able to motivate the children to excellence. She also provides spiritual education and directs the children’s choir and drama teams. She is always available to give a hug and help with the homework.
DONACIANO SOLANO – Donas to the boys and girls, he is Bethel’s handyman, who makes sure our large facility is in order. He also helps with the kids, overseeing them and taking them to school.
SUJEY – Is our afternoon cook who cooks the children’s main meal. She also helps the children who go to school in the afternoon get ready.

EDITH HERNANDEZ – Does the laundry for the kids, when you have 40 of them, that is a daily job!!! She also helps Bertha with the daily care of the individual children.

ISABEL – Is our morning cook, who makes breakfast and helps the children get ready for school.

MINERVA – Is our afternoon cook who cooks the children’s main meal.  She also helps the children who go to school in the afternoon get ready.

MARGARITA is our cook at Oasis, who provides the main lunch meal and dinner. She also helps out with the laundry.

ADALBERTO GARCIA is the director of the Bible School, but he also helps by teaching English to the children at Bethel, and helping out at Oasis.
ELEAZAR is the children’s pastor, who provides spiritual education Sundays. He also works with the Mexican education department and assists us in getting the kids into school.

KEN BLOSE is the administrator for the program. He makes sure the children are getting their special gifts and letters and maintains contact with the sponsors. Ken is in charge of making sure the needs are being met for the children in the different areas. He works closely with Bertha, Pedro and Juana to help them help their own people.
ADDITIONAL STAFF If the sponsorship program is successful, we would like to add staff. We are in need of a nighttime cook for the Bethel, additional help and vocational teachers for Oasis. Your sponsorship will help us provide for the people needed to instruct and take care of your sponsored child.
FOOD
Your sponsorship helps us provide 3 decent meals, 7 days a week for your child.
UTILITIES
Water, gas, electricity, they all need to be used and paid for. Your sponsorship helps keep the kids clean and comfortable throughout the year. VEHICLES
Our fleet of 5 vehicles is used to take the children to school and to run errands. Your sponsorship helps keep gas in them and keep them maintained.

EDUCATION
At times we need to purchase items and pay different school fees. Your sponsorship helps us keep a pencil in their hands so they can continue to learn.
For those who sponsor boys at Oasis, it will be a help in their vocational training, which requires teachers and materials.
MAINTENANCE
Soap to keep things clean, repairs to broken machinery, garbage pick up. These other items are needed to keep the kids safe and healthy, and your sponsorship helps with that as well.

ADMINISTRATION
Our administration costs stateside are low because of our relationship with CTV, but we do need to pay for internet, photos and postage to keep the contact you want to have with your child.

MISCELLANEOUS
Emergencies, taxes, whatever else you can think of that is needed to take care of a child, is needed here as well. Your sponsorship helps us provide for those things too.

As you can see, we have a lot of responsibilities, and your sponsorship helps us keep them. That is why you will be partnering with others to provide for your child. You will have the satisfaction of knowing that you are having a direct one on one influence on a child’s day to day life, and for that reason we think it is worth it. We hope you do too.
WHAT WILL I RECEIVE FROM MY SPONSORSHIP?
You will receive on your decision to sponsor a sponsor card with a picture of your child and information about them. You will be able to send gift and letters to your child, and you will receive a response and photo from them. If you decide not to give anything, we will send you a new picture each year. We will also send you our monthly newsletter. Any questions you have about your child will be answered, and we will have the children send you things on special occasions. You are also invited to come and visit and spend time with your sponsored child. Contact Blake Richert at CTVN (412-824-3930) for more information on how you can visit us in San Luis.

VERY IMPORTANT!!! PLEASE READ BEFORE DECIDING TO SPONSOR!!!
Please be aware that at any given time your sponsored child may leave Caring Hearts. Whether it is for their families picking them up or adoption, or in the case of Oasis, graduation, the presence of your child is not guaranteed. Before deciding on sponsorship, please consider these two options in case this happens.

If my child leaves I want to:
Sponsor another child.
Cancel my sponsorship.

We must have your decision before accepting your sponsorship, to avoid future problems.

If for any reason you cannot fulfill your commitment please let us know so we can look for another sponsor for your child.

If you cannot afford sponsorship, you are still free to write to the children and help them with what you can, you do not have to feel left out.

Perhaps you feel led to sponsor the Bible School or Soup Kitchen. They need help too, let us know and we will let you know the needs.
